    Ghosh is among the 11 Indian or Indian-origin students who have died in the US so far this year, sparking fears about personal safety within the community.

    Can’t find figures for this year, but last year the homicide total was 18,456

    So this is ~0.005% of all murders in the US for a group that is 0.078% of the total population*

    This is alarmist fear mongering.

    * I added the 1 million international students into the population to better represent the total
