The guest list reportedly included Peter Thiel, Rupert Murdoch, Michael Milken, and Travis Kalanick.

Michael Milken, a financier who Mr Trump pardoned, was in attendance along with Steven Mnuchin

In case anyone was wondering about his star lineup.

Yeah it was a pretty dumb business move by Elon to become such a loud right-wing shithead when his core demographic of customers are people who are concerned about climate change.

Depends on the way it’s framed. If you frame it as providing off-grid energy for the unreliable electricity grid provided by the country and less dependence on foreign oil, you can probably sell to the right wing as well.Because fuck the government and fuck foreigners.

I just started a job selling solar. And I was told more right wing leaning people buy more systems if you push the “off grid” option.

Well my Trump voting brother in law has solar and he bitches because it’s underperforming but is surrounded by trees and wont trim them so he just goes on bitching that solar is not the answer.

Can we deport this guy yet? He meddles in elections and he wasn’t even born here. Everyone accused Obama of being foreign but Musk literally is and is undermining our politics.

Kinda glad 5g turned up so I could switch off my starlink.

It’s still a net positive for the world relative to the cost of laying fibre to every rural property, but they can use 1-2kW a day which seems unnecessary high, and Elon is problematic.

Thankfully that’s not how the US works. You don’t just get to deport citizens because you don’t like them. Exiling “undesirables” is what the bad guys do, not the good ones.

        9am-9pm, 6 days a week.

        I’m a 10am-4pm, 4 days a week kind of person myself, however.

It’s the same bullshit pushed by anyone exploiting labor for their own gain.

Ultimately, you can’t blame predatory psychopaths for being predatory psychopaths. You can only blame those who let them get away with it.

And that’s all of us :)

(Oh and when I say let them get away with it, I mean: celebrate them, make them into statues, teach all of our children that only money and power matters and do whatever it takes to become just like them, in exchange for all humanity and dignity we could have had instead)

Unfortunately, you need to add this about all of us supporting them: “buying the cheapest product over buying the fairest produced”, therefore comforting them exploiting labor to reduce the cost is what we collectively want.

I saw an article yesterday that the state of Berlin is trying to give away Goebbels villa for free because nobody wants to buy it and the upkeep is expensive.

My very first thought was that if Elon hears of this, he’ll jump at the opportunity.

I mean, you’d have to define “meaningfully” as you’re using it, but centrist Dems oppose republiQan legislation and political moves all the time. You want vote counts or news articles as proof? Some other kind of proof? You’re just wrong.
