They’ve included a video preview of the Monte Carlo catalyst, the most complex they’ve done, and yes, it’s exactly what you think! And Touch of Malice, my beloved, is getting a nice buff. Only negative I spotted in the post is the reduction to heavy drops when running double special, but that’s pretty understandable given the way I’ve never run out of ammo with Retrofit Escapade.

Not major but le mon is getting a decrease in poison duration which will allow PvE enemies to regen shields faster and make the intrinsic overload a bit less effective. Also, chill clip nerf which is unfortunate but understandable for riptide (and others like bump in the night)
Sad, but it’s insane as it is right now. Throw on double special and heavy is a literal joke. I hope it’s still viable, but it definitely needed some changes.
IMO it depends on the kind of double special you use. If it involves a trace rifle you’ll probably be fine, but you might need to be a little more careful ammo wise. Stuff like Izanagi+Forbearance will become much more difficult, if not impossible to run though.
I’m definitely interested in experimenting after the new season launches next week. Most of my double special builds are very ability heavy, so hopefully the ammo economy will still be alright.
I’ve only used trace rifles with it, mainly my Hollow Denial with Lead from Gold too.
