The Detroit Lions and quarterback Jared Goff have agreed to terms on a four-year, $212 million extension, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Monday, per a source.
Had to Google who that was because I’m not a Lions expert… but Goff deserves a great contract. Could Campbell do it with a different QB? Maybe. But Goff earned his keep last year.
Holmes is Lions current GM, who traded for him and stuck by him when everyone called him a bridge Qb and there were call to replace him.
Also Holmes was in the Rams Front office(Scouting Director) when the Rams took Goff as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 draft.

Both of them have built something different in Detroit. Goff was considered to be put out to pasture by many (me included) but he has proved everyone wrong and earned it.
I’d argue he started earning it in the second half of his first season in Detroit. He really shook off his trade disappointment, buckled down and started playing to his potential that year. As the team got better, they reaped the rewards from a higher level of QB play.

Interesting, didn’t get all that in a quick google search.
Btw, do you downvote yourself? All your comments seem to start at 0 instead of 1
I only upvote things I agree with or provide value to the conversation. Upvoting my own comment doesn’t make sense to me.
But it’s upvoted by default? And you don’t agree with yourself?
I prefer not to upvote my own comments and posts.
