When he was diagnosed with cancer he cleaned out his entire apartment, including the garage unit that had been packed to where you couldn’t even walk into it, and many hard drives in his computer room, all gone. Never got to see any of it but never cared to either. My mother for sure didn’t want to see it, and I think he was well aware of that, hence the massive cleaning spree.
