An environmental catastrophe devastated a local farmer’s field after a malfunctioning wind turbine caused a dangerous amount of wind to spill everywhere.
I know this is a meme/satire, but it did make me think.
Windmills take energy from wind, which slows the wind down. Many crops can be damaged by high winds, so a windmill would theoretically reduce likelihood of this crop damage, but is it enough to be a measurable benefit to the crops, or is a windmill so tall compared to the crops that the benefit is lost in the noise?
