So why not get a 2 watt module to tinker with your own local AI over having it churn away on a high power PC?

Not at all surprising since people buy the Pi to tinker, and plenty of people play with their own local AI models. So why not get a 2 watt module to tinker with your own local AI over having it churn away on a high power PC?
