This was the most recommended alternative to Reddit. It’s kind of like old school Reddit.
It feels so clandestine 🤗
And run bun volunteers across multiple servers (aka instances).
Which means you don’t need to have an account on lemmy.ca to participate if you have an account on another Lemmy server, kinda like how email works (you don’t need a Hotmail account to reach someone there, you can do so through Gmail, etc).

Yeah I kept my name basically the same. gonna have to learn everyone’s new names now lol I keep thinking everyone on here are a bunch of strangers but I’m guessing a lot of people decided to use different names
