Google has acquired Cameyo, a company developing virtualization tools to run Windows apps on ChromeOS devices.

    Oh no, my Linux* OS is infected! With Windows.

    Seriously, there’s so many free (as in freedom and beer) and private OS/kernels out there, don’t go for the locked-down one from the company that wants to sell all your data…

    From what I’m reading on their website, it looks like Cameyo is really just virtualizating software and hosting it in a browser on the client. Which would mean it should work on an OS and not just ChromeOS. I wonder if Google plans to lock it down to try and push their failure of an OS?
