The problem is that Muslim theocracy is going to be much worse for the region, so western powers prop up Israel as a bulwark in the region. The Muslim world, in general, is fractured by tribal issues and so no one really cares about the people in Gaza. It’s a huge fucking mess.

Edit: I know “Israel bad!” is Lemmy’s favorite circlejerk. That’s because none of you understand geopolitics or national interests. What they’re doing is horrible and evil, but let’s not pretend they’re the only ones doing bad things with the implicit or explicit support of many other nations.
