For me I think it would to have a full enough English breakfast with the family, a mug of proper coffee, where I don’t have to make any of it.
Then selfishly I’d love to spend most of the day on my own without doing any chores or being constantly nagged: watch some F1 if it were to be on, read my book on the sofa, enjoy a small beer (Tiny Rebel, Clwb Tropica).
Then in the late afternoon, go out for some food for some decent pub food or an Indian.
What about you?

I hesitate to ask, but what prevents you?
I hadn’t thought of the breakfast, but fried egg on toast would be great.
Pajama morning watching a film with the kids and having a Forza mini league. Vehicle handicap to even out the odds.
Out to Macdonalds for lunch, Water World in the afternoon, curry and a pint for tea in front of another film.
I would be prepared to swap Water World or the morning film for building a giant lego castle and waging war against the invaders.
Having breakfast made for me and then just to chill with all 4 of us together watching a movie or something.
Also I’m the go to parent whenever kids want anything or argue over something so not being that for a day k thanks…

Yeah, same. I’m the one my son asks ALL the questions to, any question, non-stop. All I ever hear is “Daad?” followed by some crazy question. My wife has less patience for it than I do, she can hear him from another room and is like “JUST LEAVE YOU POOR DAD ALONE FOR 5 MINUTES!” My daughter, who will be 2 next month just copies him so she’s always going “DAD!” too.
There’s an episode of Bluey where the dad has taken the kids to the pool on his own but has forgotten everything, and the kids are going “Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad!” and he’s like “Can everyone please stop saying DAD!”. It really made me laugh!
My own father passed away five years ago. My wife and older one will be out of town this weekend. So either go grab lunch and walk around a lake with the younger one, or spend the day doing what he wants, which is likely going to involve getting my ass kicked playing his videogames.
Regardless, I’ll be feeling grateful and appreciative.
Out camping I think. I like doing stuff that leaves me smelling of mud or petrol while I drink beer. Morning in front of a Disney film with a cup of tea and a bowl of Weetabix.
Sleeping in, which is really just not needing to be up at 630. Wife always makes blini, fried eggs and bacon for Father’s Day breakfast and my oldest, 6, has figured out how to make a proper cup of coffee so I can’t think of anything better.
No chores or projects would be nice. Some time for video games or a movie that I don’t need to stop every 5 minutes for interruptions.
I’m probably smoking some meat, pork shoulder as of now, and some smoked BBQ baked beans for dinner. I don’t mind cooking my own dinner if it’s delicious smoked or grilled meats.
Watching the entire Lord of the Rings - Extended Editions trilogy uninterrupted.
uninterrupted
I feel like this really is the key.
I feel like this really is what detaches it from reality lmao
