      There are certainly blind dancers. Idk about martial arts but I wouldn’t be surprised.

          According to legend, that style was invented by a blind woman. The Avatar makers didn’t know this when they picked it, it was a happy coincidence.

      They are trying to check the disability box while also needing an out for when they choose someone who can actually do the physical aspect. (Yes, a blind person could probably manage on their own, but if you need to choreograph with other people, it might get complicated…that being said, I would love if the actual actress was blind and successful in the role, that would be super cool)
