Gov. Gavin Newsom has set in motion the return of ancestral lands to the Shasta Indian Nation that were seized a century ago and submerged.

    The Klamath River basin and area north and west of Lake Shasta are some of the most beautiful, natural parts of the state. The take-down of the Klamath River dams will only make it better. Hopefully, it’ll stay that way.
