I don’t know that putting 100 condos in a beachside flood-zone is actually a good idea in terms of construction, or land-use either, but like, you could maybe make a small cluster of buildings closer to the center of the island to achieve a similar effect.

Yes after the 200 homes are built, we’d built more homes that aren’t needed, which would somehow take up more space than if we did the same with houses, as has been illustrated. Maybe we need a system where we don’t build needless homes in addition to good urban planning.

I’d prefer to own a house and get equity out of an investment, paying rent is throwing money into a black hole. At least I’ll see some of that money again when selling the house.
