If your workplace has PIPs, you should be considering moving. I’ve only ever heard of them existing at the worst techbro workplaces, and I’ve never heard of one being used non-abusively.

After I applied for paternity leave I got told my contract would not be renewed and then shortly after that my leave was being rejected because my non-renewal makes me ineligible.
I spoke to a lawyer and very quickly my leave was suddenly approved.
Fuck these guys, apply for unfair dismissal, get back on mental health leave, whatever you have available to you.
