I am looking to get internet access to a property across the street and I was hoping to save a buck. I noticed you can buy WiFi routers for not to expensive and I am thinking about creating a bridge made of WiFi routers with openwrt.

A cheap router isn’t going to be setting any speed records but how bad would it be? Should I just get a new connection or omnidirectional hardware?
