Like as Americans we are constantly exposed to information about this war but there’s other conflicts in the world that are arguably more important. The only reason the news pays attention to it is because it’s white people. Honestly if I ever saw a Ukrainian refugee I would show them combat footage clips of dead Ukrainian soldiers and say “is this your brother?” The Ukrainian identity doesn’t exist, it was created as a reaction towards the collapse of the ussr and their language is a dialect of Russian. Like I don’t support Putin either, he’s not a communist, but like fuck I hate Ukraine a lot more than I hate Russia.
