I made a friend from Germany and thought running an AC was just a waste of energy and making climate worse. He visited the south in July and now believes AC is the pinnacle of human ingenuity. Also believes anyone below 40° latitude is crazy.
I live at 32° N 117°W The house doesn’t even have an A/C unit. Of course it also doesn’t get above 80°F here hardly ever, and we have a constant ocean breeze.
30N and we had a 4 day heat warning in the middle of fucking May that killed my tomatoes. Our overnight low the last 3 days was 80,82,82. Don’t even want to go walk in the mornings. I’m pretty sure my AC doesn’t stop from 1pm to 6pm. Trying to find an affordable place with 6 months of winter.
Don’t remind me. It’s only June and I’m already sick of the heat
I visited friends at the very beginning of June thinking I would beat the heat. I was wrong.
