Lore-wise, he’s a cool boss and essential character. Gameplay-wise, especially considering many people only find and fight Laurence after fighting Orphan, it’s just not a mechanically interesting fight. It’s basically Cleric Beast with a fire twist. His attacks are quite annoying in phase two as well, leading to lots of frustration with his one-shots. The theme is stellar, though, definitely in my top 5
