If you haven’t seen Beau Miles’ Bad River documentary I highly recommend it. He follows the Cooks River from its ‘source’ in suburbia to Botany Bay, showing the current state and historical context of one of the most polluted waterways in Australia
May I introduce you Agent Orange river in Sydney?
I have a chuckle everytime I pass Rhodes. People fishing. The apartments without the tasteful industrial machinery bits as monuments. I wonder if any of the people there know what the site was.
People aren’t stupid and mostly innocent new sydneysiders - it is actually because some serious green-washing to the point that it is a gov cover-up of the dark history
Instead of eyeballing them eat/drinking lead and other poison, we should educate them by sending them the articles
p.s. Homebush bay, Zetland, Camellia, I actually have a map of all and building an App for it
Do you have an ETA on app’s initial release?
i am a bit occupied with moving and work this quarter, it will have to be the next quarter if everything go smoothy. Anything in particular you are looking for?
Nothing in particular. I was unaware of the area’s history and intrigued by the mention/description of your project.
