Final Fight MD Developer Teases Upcoming 16-bit Racer for Sega Mega Drive
Mauro Xavier, the developer behind Final Fight MD, has announced that he is working on a new original project for the classic Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console. Dubbed Driftin’ Rage, this 16-bit racer promises to pay homage to and expand upon the genre’s iconic games such as OutRun, Top Gear, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, and more.
Driftin’ Rage, as Xavier showcases on Twitter, features a selection of drivers from various countries, each with unique stats. Players can also choose their vehicles based on attributes like speed, defense, handling, and turbo capability. The game is in development, and Xavier promises there’s much more to come!

For a second I thought it was “Road rash but with cars” until I realized that isn’t possible at all – specially on the sega genesis.
