So, you get to Yharnam, you are told your mission in this game is to kill some beasts because of the Scourge. At one point everything goes tits up and you end up in the Nightmare of Mensis and killing Mergo’s Wet Nurse. After that, your purpose in the game has been apparently fulfilled, and the game ends (disregarding the three endings). Why?What significance and role does the Nightmare of Mensis play in Bloodborne’s story? Why does it put an end to your journey? Because after killing Rom and everything going south, what happens is the unleashing and unveiling of the true horrors Rom kept within herself.I just don’t understand why Mergo is so important to the story. Is it because the Moon Presence wants to get rid of all the other Great Ones? I’ve heard that when you’re brought to Yharnam, your purpose is to end the nightmare Micolash had created because it was affecting Yharnam somehow, but I also don’t know how that relates to the rest of the story.TL;DR: The title
