Long-time industry veteran and video game journalist, Julian “Jaz” Rignall, is set to release his book 'The Games of a Lifetime’. This publication from Bitmap Books promises to offer an in-depth look at the evolution of gaming through Julian’s unique career lens.

Throughout his storied career that spans four decades, Julian has been closely involved with some of the medium’s most iconic moments and titles. As such, ‘The Games of a Lifetime’ will feature a blend of memorable gaming experiences from Pong to modern games. It delves into behind-the-scenes tales, historical insights, anecdotes, and provides a humorous take on his industry experiences.

Jaz has shared excitement for this project in a tweet. The book is set to be released early in 2025.

      OK, I looked up his Wikipedia entry and apparently he’s been a games journalist since the early 1980s. He was editor on many notable publications, including Zzap!64, Computer and Video Games, the official Sega magazine (UK), IGN, @gamer, World of Warcraft magazine, GamePro, and USGamer.

      In the middle of the '90s he was credited on 19 games from his time at Virgin Interactive, and rose to the rank of VP Design, but you’ve probably never played the titles listed except for maybe The Lion King or The Jungle Book.
