If Biden had stepped down and let Kamala take over sooner, and crazy dude (who wasn’t shooting about anybody or anything in particular, afaik - dude was just shooting at whoever was closest) still shot at Trump on the same date, I truly believe the Dems would be fucked.
It is only the fickle nature of our news cycle (plus the fact that she ascended after the attempt on Trump’s life) that’s keeping her afloat.
Will be super interesting to see what happens in a couple months once the novelty wears off.
Yeah maybe, but news cycle aside, it kind of feels like the Trump campaign was just totally unprepared to take on anyone except Biden. It will definitely be an interesting few months, maybe the republicans will rally and democrats will find out how weird Kamala actually is? Who knows. All I know is that I’m disappointed I don’t get to watch Genocide Joe suffer through another debate.
