I’ve been loving empyrion lately and saw space engineers. Is it worth getting? Had concerns/reservations about the lack of AI and reasons to actually use the creations.
Space Engineers is fun. I get addicted to building bases in it.
Just be aware that’s an online only game. You can play offline, but they take away mods, your online saves, and every paint texture.

If you’re playing with friends, definitely. If you’re just playing solo you don’t need a server.

You need to be connected to the Internet to access them, yes. If you play offline (either steam offline or disconnected) you can’t use them.
Don’t try to make sense of it, it’s incredibly dumb.
