Ah yes that’s the one. Do you know anything about what they are referring to with feminist propaganda?

I watched the game a bit and didn’t notice anything.

In this context they are responding specifically to a hit piece IGN produced. They mis-translated a bunch of their quotes, then tried to go to the game developer to get them to deny the translations and make a hole controversy out of it. the game developer said we’re only going to talk about the game.

This media note for free copies of the game, is simply saying they don’t want to get involved in that IGN mistranslation controversy. Of course it’s poorly translated, and cultural shifting, but I don’t think there is any ill will here.

Plus, any reporter who wanted to, could just buy the game at retail price and not have this media guidance applied to their free copy

I don’t think they had anything specific in mind, but they just don’t want to create prominent female figures, be it real people or game characters. They have a long history of suppressing gender equality there.

            Informative, thanks.

And surprising. I always thought of China as being quite progressive with women’s and to an extent lgbtq rights as well. It seems to be regressing just like the US.

It’s more like southern US. On LGBT, there’s no government stance (except there can’t be themed establishments apparently), but there’s a lot of conservatives who don’t like it. I forgot how it was with feminism, which is probably around the average of the US.
