The only positive experiences I’ve ever heard about people having in the game industry is from indie developers and I don’t believe that’s a good path to pursue unless you already have some cash in the bank.

Where do you suggest I look then?
Non gaming software jobs. The only positive experiences I’ve ever heard about people having in the game industry is from indie developers and I don’t believe that’s a good path to pursue unless you already have some cash in the bank.
