The bad news is that my work situation still seems rather fucked up. The remote job that I apparently got hired by seems to be doing some very sus bullshit. They stated that they pulled me from the “project” that I was “currently working on,” but what’s really strange about that is that I have not even started working on anything yet because they haven’t even given me any training courses, let alone actual work! It makes the response they gave seem very automated.

I emailed them to get more information regarding these concerns, and I have no doubt that they’ll struggle to be transparent.

The good news is that I just got out of an interview with a pro-worker organization, and I get my answer from them within 48 hours. Not only that, but they let the people they hire start their job ASAP, so I’d potentially be working the next working day if all goes well.

However, I keep my expectations for jobs accepting me low, even if the job is seemingly more leftist and pro-worker. Unfortunately, I did not get in this animal rights advocacy position that I applied for, but I’m decently more confident about this job with the pro-worker org.

With all of this in mind, seeing as how it is now September 10th, I want to be rather preemptive in starting to fundraise to cover my rent/bills due by October 1st. The sooner I start, the better, because I’ll have no way of telling what my work situation will be until I get more information, but I will definitely keep this community up to date with that. I’m most likely going to need to make multiple posts over time just to provide clarity on how far along I am with covering my bills.

The total I need to raise is about $900 for the actual rent/bills themselves, but to be honest, $1,000 may be a tad bit more accurate considering that I also have to purchase necessities like food and hygiene products.

Any help that anyone can grant me is super appreciated, even if it’s not financially. Emotional support, good wishes, and even small donations of like $1, $2, $3, and $5 are all massively appreciated.
