No default installation of Microsoft Windows EVER opened Microsoft Office documents.
Errr… what? Everytime I used windows, I could just double-click a .docx and it would open up with the proper program.
Are you trying to be pedantic by saying default installations of Windows don’t have Office installed? Cause that’s not true. I never explicitly paid for or sought out office. It always came included.
