Lol I unironically want the guy interpreting the rules to the extreme to win this discussion and push the Blue Archive content off from Lemmynsfw and to here.
I… fapfapfap no, you see I HAVE TO look at all these fapfapfap sick filthy pictures fapfapfap to report them fapfapfap so every time I look at the character’s tits and pussy fapfapfap I look them up the wiki afterwards fapfapfap to see their age!
Outside of the people trying to distract from the skeletons in their own closets, the ones that fixate on canonical ages always struck me as people who just hate anime. And squinting for loli content happens to be the easiest way to win over the court of public opinion. It just rarely feels sincere, even by loli hater standards.
Amazing work that guy is doing protecting png files in games and 2D art. Certainly he will be rewarded for saving the precious ink, paper, and bits. I’m assuming that not seeking out content that offends him is too much to ask?
There’s a reason most freespeech instances allow loli, and it’s not because the admins/owners are coomers.
It is because what this guy is doing can d&c any anime community.
It’s usually the first subversion tactic to hit any freespeech space with sensible rules.
It’s impossible to properly define a drawn character’s age and people can have bad faith arguments all day long.
@laurel@KusaMower@float
I’m not trying to defend loli, but even Dennis Prager, a regular old Republican in my books, is realistic enough to see drawn images and real CP as two very different things.
Drawn images are a type of speech. Abusing actual children is not speech.
I understand what you are saying but the arguments used are rarely about the legality of it.
It’s usually about pedojacketing and breaking up communities.
Some communities may find it distasteful and it’s still not in their best interest to ban it. Just so as not to open themselves up to this type of shilling.

I don’t think it’s a concerted effort. For example 4Chan becoming increasingly unironically racist whilst the rest of the online communities attempted to monetize and bring in advertiser income wasn’t a conspiracy against them.
If people get kicked out of somewhere, they get more concentrated wherever they aren’t shunned.
I’m not talking about being racist though, I’m talking specifically about the loli question.
And if you’d been around 8chan in the beginning or even fse a couple of years ago, it was very common for d&c shills to make these exact types of arguments.
And that was not happening due to monetization.
It is still a pretty common gayop on 4chan to try to consensus crack using anime.
I don’t think that the rulecuck in the pic is a paid/cointelpro shill, but I’m pretty sure he does hate anime and anime communities and is consciously trying to subvert it.
@laurel@KusaMower@float
I was only around 4chan in the beginning, so I wouldn’t know. I’m also new here so you could be right. There is a lot of brigading going on, from all sides, in many forms. Yes.
Yeah because PaddedPerson posted a meta post about lemmynsfw. It turns out Padded were one of the back-end members of lemmynsfw and is the one being rogue as per the latest announcement post.
The meta post which has since been deleted talked about how the admins are planning to introduce government ID verifications, either through here or Matrix. Padded also complained about the rules becoming even more stricter to the kind of content they posted and their moderated communities. It looks like stuff like Zelda who Padded said is only canonnically over 18 in 1 game is going to get banned too.
It’s not final and official yet but the admins basically admitted that it was the rough concept and is still subject to change in the latest announcement post lol.
Lol thanks to the federated nature of Lemmy I found the comments in the deleted post. The post itself is gone though, but they did talk extensively about it in the comments that I linked above.
E: Using their bot account that wasn’t banned yet to give more info:
Holy shit they took the effort to find out every single character’s age. Anyway, if they really want to interpret the rule to the extreme, 99% of anime porn will be banned.

This is 1 step away from literally doing my joke of carbon dating the paper the characters are drawn on.

“It’s not cause I l-like it or anything. I’m just doing it as…as… A PUBLIC SERVICE y-yeah that’s it!!!” xD
“I’d shake your hand, but I can see you’ve been busy keeping the internet clean…”
By their logic bars shouldn’t be allowed to serve alcohol until they’ve been in business for 21 years

I read the thread, and my guess is that they’re actually doing this to troll the admins.

Basically saying, “I don’t like this so it’s banned.”
Read the thread… These people have some screws loose, or… Something.

Yiiiiikes wtf, imagine sharing your ID to some strangers just to see some porn.
You don’t happen to have a screengrab of the thread before it was deleted, do you? I gotta read this.
I do not. However, I do have this https://lemmy.world/u/[email protected]
