Seeking feedback on my PC build aimed at achieving 144fps on high settings using DLSS. Alternatively, targeting 72fps with maximum settings, DLSS, and ray tracing for story-driven games. Please provide any suggestions or recommendations. Budget is around $2000AUD

You should be able to hit 144 fps with that really well depending on the resolution you were trying to play at and which games you are trying to play. If you’re running on say a 1440p monitor, especially with dlss you will be fine. 4k 144 hz might be a bit more of a stretch on triple A games but a lot of those are starting to have frame generation. Overall I would say you picked a nicely balanced build.

Were you planning on possibly setting up raid for a couple of your ssd’s? Having 3 500gb drives might get bothersome.

Thankyou! Forgot to mention the resolution but it’s 1440p ultrawide. The SSDs are from my current build. Over the years I’ve taken them old pc’s and it’s gotten a little out of hand, it is a little annoying but it works fine for now.

What’s the $AUD price difference for going from the 7600 to 7700? If it’s not unreasonable I’d make that CPU upgrade.

In the short term 6c/12t will be enough, but I suspect as we get more and more games from the PS5/XSX gen without PS4/XB1 support, CPU requirements will start to jump noticeably. Could be moot if you intend to upgrade again in short order.
