Since the US school system isn’t going to explain why communism is good or even give a concrete definition, all you are left with is a “politically neutral” outlook where the only acceptable options are the two major parties: fascism or fascism with a human face. I imagine this is less true for people younger than me due to the presence of more politicized social media, but my graduating class had no political understanding at all.
