DonaldĀ Trump on Sunday proposed a new policy that many critics said is equivalent to legalizing āThe Purge.ā
Trump spoke at a rally in Pennsylvania, where heĀ admitted that his attendees were āfalling asleepā at one of his earlier rallies. Vice PresidentĀ Kamala Harrisā campaign noted that, as Trump was still speaking at the swing-state event over the weekend,Ā rallygoers placed directly behind the former president started to funnel out of the building.
One comment Trump made drew condemnation on social media, as well as numerous comparisons to The Purge, a film series based on a dystopian world in which the government makes all crimes legal for a 12-hour period.
As reported byĀ Sebastian Smith,Ā AFP Washington desk chief, āTrump in Erie, PA, says in US āthe police arenāt allowed to do their job.ā To stop crime, you need āone really violent day.ā He says: āOne rough hour and I mean real rough, the word would get out and it would end immediately.āā

Yes donāt believe what he says. Itās all jokes. Or off the cuff. Donāt take the guy seriously what can go wrong.
cries in 2016 memes of what if they actually ran trump?
Itās more that our reacting to everything is exactly what he wants.
An independent or swing voter (the kind whom the Left needs in order to win the election) is not going to read this headline and think trump is actually going to institute the Purge. Instead, theyāll take this as āthe media blowing trump out of proportion again. Pro ably canāt trust them, better do my own research.ā Which plays directly into donaldās hands.
Itās like, did you ever bug a younger sibling? The easiest thing to do would be something minor that would make them over react and mom and dad would get pissed about the over reaction and forget the original issue. In this case, donald is poking the media so they over react and announce donald echoes fascist rhetoric or whatever else, putting off independent voters.
