Honestly they should redo this as far as structural stability is concerned. The strength and tolerance itself is fine I’m sure, but it’s disturbed the surface of the concrete and that’s going to lead to water infiltrating and corroding the pillar.

Concrete forms a natural PN ion outer layer which keeps water out, but once that gets disturbed then it soaks up water which becomes mineralized and corrodes the iron rebar hella fast.

Not to mention the shit you’d get from your crew/boss for losing it in such a way. You’d never live it down.

Not to mention it isn’t exactly in a good spot. I’d imagine that this spot would break down faster than the rest of the concrete.

    You sir, what’s your name?

    “Hammer… Jackson Hammer.”

    [Scribbles]
    Ham…mer… that’s with two M’s?

    “Yes… why?”

Mr. Hammer, here’s your citation for destroying the bench. You can call this number here to inquire about court dates and fines.

Anyone remember when a labourer buried a jersey in the concrete at the new Mets stadium and the jackhammered it out?
