No you are not missing anything. Stock Android is so behind in multitasking, it’s not even funny.
Man I’m using LineageOS at the moment and multitasking sucks compared to stock OneUI. Samsung has that stuff figured out, and this is a clunky mess in comparison.
Xiaomi’s MIUI, for all its faults got it on lock too.
