At least 43 people have been homicide victims so far in 2024. Among the victims verified by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution are a 23-year-old woman and a 61-year-old woman incarcerated at Lee Arrendale State Prison. Sherry Joyce and Hallie Reed were strangled, and authorities have charged another prisoner, Jeanni Geueam with murdering both of the women. Illustration by ArLuther Lee AJC
