I’m planning to make a baobab tree addon for Minecraft, and want to make the wood inside the trunk look somewhat like the real one. I tried to look it up using “baobab wood” and “baobab wood inside” but there were little to no pictures or descriptions of what the wood looks like.
Try searching for a “cross section” image, which should give you slices of the tree.
Found a few things:
A carved and polished table, shows color and cross section well.
A wiki for a minecraft clone that already has baobob wood.
Following another poster’s advice, here’s a cross section of one cut down.
In other depictions it often has little holes in it, which seems like a thing that happens to some baobob wood, otherwise it kind of just looks like medium color wood with some dark bands.
I’m surprised it is so dense. I thought it would be very porous to store water.

I have a picture but it’s pretty grainy.
You can leave.
Bro. How do you even cut a baobab tree???
At most people have been cutting into the tree. Maybe you can search for “cut baobab tree”?
