          Ah i see where you were going for now.

          Optimistic nihilism would argue you can create and derive meaning yourself from knowing it doesn’t matter on a bigger level.

          Anyway philosophy is so subjective i fail to see the point in labeling non-voters specifically nihilist in the post

          Depends on what they are a nihilist about. Most nihilists are existential nihilists, who believe life itself doesn’t have an inherent meaning. It doesn’t mean they believe life can’t have any meaning. They can still believe other things can give life meaning or that they can create their own meaning for life.

          Nihilists don’t believe nothing about anything matters. It doesn’t mean they believe their suffering or the suffering of others doesn’t matter.
