A few weeks ago I was prompted to fill out a survey asking such questions as “why do you use mozilla programs such as firefox?” and "what do you think is the most important work done by mozilla?’

Then a few days ago I saw this blog post about how much effort they’re putting into their new advocacy branding. It rings very hollow. The corporate recuperation of net-neutrality and adjacent digital activism is in full effect.

Borrman told TechCrunch that “advocacy is still a central tenet of Mozilla Foundation’s work and will be embedded in all the other functional areas,” without providing specifics.
