Anime fans are shocked at how poorly Elon Musk represented 'Attack on Titan’s Eren Yeager and other anime characters in an X post on election night.
Just a few more things to throw on the ever-growing pile of media where they don’t realise they’re not the characters they think they are. I’m not an anime guy so I don’t know how obvious these ones are, but after seeing the gross misinterpretations of things like The Boys or Squid Game they could beat the viewer over the head with the message and we’d still be here.
It’s REALLY obvious in Attack on Titan. The entire thing is about how violent oppression begets more violence and hatred and how that cycles throughout history.
People complain about how Hollywood dumbs everything down too much but it seems like half of people wouldn’t get it otherwise.
