Problem with corporal punishment is that the adults who would put it in the job description and accept it will tend to be into it. Same for domination.
I prefer a job where the methodology at least trends towards the supposedly intended results, not that I’m at all opposed to fetish/kink fulfilment. Just don’t tell me the purpose is to help you write an unrelated book, or that my performance is evaluated by your progress in such at all.
