    This is a pretty poor piece of writing. Waaah JavaScript. Waaah FAANG. Waaah startups.

    I find this particularly funny

    I love referring to this summary of 5 years of startup audits, as it is packed with common-sense conclusions based on hard evidence (and paid insights):

    Because the author clearly learned nothing about the value of hard evidence given the state of this article.

      Indeed.

      Most services start out as monoliths. But they quickly become microservices because it is easier to manage.

      This part is broken? Instead of figuring out what the hell went wrong, just switch to a different microservice that does practically the same thing and be done with it.

      Both have their pros and cons. It is the switching between them that creates the most problems.
