Pretty sure they never left that space. Of all the modes available for getting nic these days vapes are probably the cheapest. Last I recall you could get a bottle that would last a week for $20 or so while cigarettes or the pouches they have now are closer to $10 a pack. Wouldn’t be surprised if the big players wanted to cut e-smokes out to get some more revenue.

No one is going to start smoking in 2024.

Capes have the perception of being clean. The reason cigarettes are expensive is that they are heavily taxed and regulated. Vapes don’t have the same rules and high taxes.

Vape juice is literally half tax in Canada. Used to be 15$ for a 120ml bottle and now it’s 30 and half the price is taxes. Can’t even buy cotton locally now because of bullshit regulations, but you can still buy disposables everywhere, but god forbid you want to build your own coils to save some money.

Well Nicotine is highly addictive so it needs high taxes to compensate for the market failure.

Probably the best solution is a nicotine tax that applies to all products. It could be based on the amount of nicotine being sold.

Tax the shit out of it, it pisses me off cause I’m an addict but I understand it’s for the best.

Stop banning flavours though, if I wanted gross tobacco flavours then I’d go back to smoking cigarettes. Let me have my peach flavoured juice ffs, and build and rewick my own coils instead of letting wasteful disposables run rampant.

I dont wanna quit, I’ve tried 6+ times now and it’s fucking hard. If I can’t legally buy flavoured juice, then I’ll go to the black market to get my fix and then the government gets nothing except my health problems out of it.
