Good morning. ☕☕☕

I recall times many years ago when I would get up to go to work on a winter morning and it would be so cold that I could not stop shivering. I would light the oven to warm up and watch some local country variety show on TV because it was the only channel that I got … I read a lot more books. That was the norm for me way back when. Now-a-days though it’s all about central heat and air. 250+ TV channels, and streaming. Of course, back in the day, we didn’t have home computers, internet, cable, satellite TV, or cellphones. Hmmm … I did have a digital watch and thought it was fancy.

During the 80s, I was in the Army and usually had an electric typewriter. It was different from the 70s when we only had manual typewriter, except for the battalion commander’s secretary. In the 80 that secretary had a memory typewriter. There were copy machines, though usually one at the battalion headquarters that was strictly regulated. Those were the days of carbon paper. Hmmm … I wonder if they still produce carbon paper.
@[email protected] I’ve got some stashed away in a drawer! (you never know…)😁

@[email protected] those memories are only appreciated by older people,I believe.
When we finally had a color TV, it didn’t have a remote control. As we lived close to the airport, we were forced to jump up to turn up the volume, then jump again when the airplane had landed. Quite sporty! As I see it, there was no harm in jumping, but I’m sure, younger people, who grew up with handling everything by remote control, would be exasperated

Today’s young people will probably reminisce in the future about the days when people had to actually have something in their hand to make a phone call or look up something on the internet.
@[email protected] that’s quite possible 😂😂
