Corvids are some smart birds 🖤

They can recognise and remember faces (and for a very long time), communicate information to each other, recognise themself in a mirror, and can even forge tools.

I’ve several times now observed the local crows carefully hiding treats, covering them up with leafs, only for a magpie to come by and steal the stash as soon as the crow is gone 🤭

I love them 🖤

    @[email protected] The crows here watch the squirrels hide nuts, and when the squirrels leave, the crows steal the nuts. I am not sure if they always did that. This autumn I noticed it for the first time. Also, I don’t know if all crows do that or if it is only this very special cemetery crow population.
