    The more recent the history, the more striking or important the photo should be to pass muster, but recent history is certainly fine! As it says in the sidebar…

    HistoryPorn is for photographs (or, if it can be found, film) of the past, recent or distant! Give us a little snapshot of history!

    The protests in Hong Kong were a major event noted worldwide, so this certainly passes.
