I’ve read this multiple times, and I am just not getting anything from it. What’s happening here, and do I have more reason to dislike Epic?
You can dislike them and Tencent because they had to be investigated, were caught breaking the law, but suffer no penalties at all for breaking the law.
It would be the same as a guy with back pain killing an insurance CEO, admitting it when caught, give the police the murder weapon, then being allowed to go on their way.

This is more of a “scummy business” article than an “Epic bad” article. The directors in question were sitting on the boards of both Epic Games and Tencent. This was seen as an issue because while Tencent holds a minority share of Epic, they also completely own competitors, such as Riot.
