Blue Mimic

This blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata) was among a bunch that were around this morning. They were screeching like a red shouldered hawk, probably to try and scare the other birds away from the bird feeder In worked with the pigeons who flew off in a loud clash of wings. There were dozens of cardinals though who were unfazed by the blue jay mimicry. Neither did the few woodpeckers flee in fear. Getting the pigeons to leave though, opened up plenty of opportunities.
