Happy New Year!

I went to bed early last night, so the new year rolled in without me. When I was a young man in my fifties, I would stay up drinking waiting for the calendar to change when the clock hits midnight; but, in the immortal words of William Munny, “I ain’t like that anymore.”

There were people playing with fireworks around, starting about the time it got dark, last night, and I even heard some semi-automatic rifles being fired. I get more than a little worried about geniuses who think it is a good idea to drink and play with firearms. But I’m making assumptions that may not be valid. Ben and Charlie both stayed in the bedroom last night.
