I know what you mean. I’m currently dating someone 6 years younger than me, and while we’re both technically Millennials, I have so many childhood experiences that she simply cannot relate to. She doesn’t know any 90s references, never had to use dial-up internet, and her first gaming system was a Wii. Some of my high school memories are her middle school memories, but for the most part she relates more to Gen Z than I ever could.
I love her but I wish we were closer together in age.
